Julien Capron, grandson of renowned ceramists Jacotte and Roger Capron, was not originally drawn towards his grandparents’ craft. First, he fell in love with working wood. Only later on did he catch the ceramic bug whilst looking to enhance his wooden art with a more sublime complement. After further study with his grandmother, his first creations came to life by intertwining wood and clay and playing with the luminescence and the opacity of materials.
